The passion fruit vine has started to send out little huggers and climb! I swear it’s growing like an inch a week. There’s a house a few blocks from us that has a monster passion fruit vine covering their fence and I just want that.
Oh my gosh he’s so happy. The passion fruit vine seems to be finally putting out some new leaves and getting taller after the slug onslaught abated. The extra summer sun probably doesn’t hurt either.
Slugs! At least I think it’s getting attacked by slugs. I can see the slime trail a bit in the mulch around the plant, but nothing on the leaves themselves. I’ve put down some eggshells to deter them, and I’ll keep putting down more. Hopefully he pulls through.
Fertilized. I’m keeping a close eye on this one – she seems to be pretty happy, although there’s little new growth a little bit of leaf cutter action. But it hasn’t been here very long :-p
Oops, I bought a Passion Fruit Vine! Passiflora edulis. I had a bower vine next to my Meyer Lemon that wasn’t liking the amount of sun it received, so I took that out and planted this nice little guy in its place. Hopefully it gets enough sun to climb the fence, and once it’s a little taller it’ll have almost full sun.
